The automation you came for is on Plus. Starter’s automations are limited to 5 actions with no branching. Most teams that pick ActiveCampaign for automation end up on Plus or Pro.
Users are few. Plus has one user. A second person means Pro.
What the same list costs on your own server
Broadcast is self-hosted email marketing software with sequences, conditional branching, segments and an API. You pay $250 once, run it on a small server, and send through Amazon SES or another provider. There is no per-contact price and no user limit.
